Outcome: Existing keys are restored into this wallet without the phrase touching anything networked.

Before you start: Your recovery phrase or private key, already written down

Completion looks like: The restored wallet shows the expected account and balances (or an empty account for a fresh phrase).

If something goes wrong: Import copies; it does not move. The original phrase keeps working and must stay protected.

Check the receive address against the old wallet's address where possible.
Before you continue, check
Address type mismatch is the usual cause of 'my funds are gone' after import. They are on another derivation path.

If balances look missing, stop sending. Recheck the address type before anything else.
