How old is this guidance?
Documentation snapshot: wallet 1.7.5.8 (source tree, unpublished). Stored release commit: cf0b6d60d00a. When offline, this page shows the date the bundle was cached at the top of every cached page. Old safety guidance must never pose as current: the banner is the difference.

1 · Suspected compromised wallet
- Stop signing and approving anything on the suspect device.
- Do not send a "test transaction" from it.
- On a clean device, create a fresh wallet and write its phrase on paper.
- Move remaining funds and artifacts to the new wallet.
- Remove the old wallet from the suspect device and retire the old phrase for life.
2 · Phishing and fake support
- Nobody legitimate ever needs your recovery words. Not support, not "validation", not upgrades.
- Nobody legitimate needs a test signature, a screen share, or a hurry.
- Check the origin on every approval. Look-alike domains are the con.
- Download extensions only from the official listing.
3 · Recovery and backup boundaries
- Your phrase restores your keys. Anyone holding it holds your money.
- Your password unlocks this device only. It cannot restore funds.
- Lost password with an intact phrase: recoverable. Lost phrase with a forgotten password: not.
4 · Version identification
- Settings → About shows your version.
- Store build 1.0.13 (April 2025) differs from the documented 1.7.5.8 source tree.
- Where this site and your wallet disagree, your wallet is correct.
5 · Transaction review checklist
- Every output accounted for: payment + change + fee.
- Change returns to your wallet. A stranger holding your change is theft in progress.
- Fee far above the recommended rate: stop and reread.
- Unreadable data signatures: treat the length warning as a stop sign.
6 · Official support and reporting
- Documentation issues: docs-wallet issues
- Security reports: see the repository's security policy
- The wallet will never direct you to a support agent who asks for your phrase.
