Inscribe is one workspace for creating Bitcoin-native assets: inscriptions from files or text, token deploys and mints, rune etches, and transfers. Every action that writes to the chain shows its full cost first, and no flow will spend an output holding your assets to pay a fee.

Four things that cost people assets, and what Inscribe does about each. Read this before you connect a wallet.
I want to inscribe something
A file or a line of text, from an empty page to a confirmed inscription, with the wallet screen you should expect at each signature.
I want to launch a token
Deploy, mint and transfer across the token protocols Inscribe implements, and what each one does differently.
Something went wrong
An unpaid order, a stuck transaction, a closed tab, sats trapped in padding. Every recovery route, and the one situation that has none.
What this product is
Section titled “What this product is”Inscribe is the creation half of Bitcoin Universe. Core is where assets are discovered and traded; Inscribe is where they are made. The two are independent: a protocol you can create here may not be tradeable there, and the reverse is also true. Neither page borrows the other’s availability.
You do not need a wallet to explore the app, read live protocol data, or price an action. A wallet is asked for only when something needs a signature.
Your assets are not fee fuel
No automatic funding flow will pick an output holding an inscription, a Rune balance or a token balance to pay a network fee. How output selection works.
A source being down is never an empty wallet
Every read names its source. When one does not answer, the page says which one and what is missing, instead of showing you nothing. Data states.
The cost is shown before the wallet opens
Network fee, service fee, and the output your inscription sits on, itemised and totalled. Only two of the three are fees. Read a quote.
An order survives a closed tab
Orders this browser started are listed on Home. Reopening one asks your wallet to prove it owns the order first. Getting back to an order.

What this documentation will not do
Section titled “What this documentation will not do”It will not describe a feature that is written but switched off as though you can use it today. Where a workspace is release-gated, the page says so and says what you see instead. Where the product has no answer for a situation, the page says that too.
The coverage matrix is generated from the Bitcoin Universe protocol registry rather than written by hand, and the build fails if a page claims an operation the registry does not record.
