A world is a bounded shared story. Each path inside it moves one confirmed Bitcoin step at a time. Nobody can rearrange it afterwards, and nobody owns it.

One page, no jargon. By the end of it you will know what ChainBloom is, why Bitcoin is part of it, what you could make with it, and whether it is worth your time. That is the whole job of this page.

What it is#

ChainBloom is a way for a group of people to grow one story together and leave it somewhere it cannot be quietly edited.

Someone opens a : a bounded space with a small number of , a fixed lifetime, and a limit on how many steps each path may take. Other people take those paths forward, one moment at a time. Paths can answer each other. Two paths can meet and both carry on. A path can be ended on purpose, and the ending is part of the work.

When the world closes, what remains is a history with an order, a shape, and a list of the people whose choices made it.

Why it is different#

Three things, and they are all about shape.

It has an ending. A feed never finishes, so nothing in it ever becomes a whole. A ChainBloom world is finite from the first second: everyone can see how long it stays open and how far it can go. Knowing the ending changes how people contribute.

It keeps the threads apart. Most group projects flatten into one pile where a single voice wins. Here, each path stays its own line. When two paths meet, they share a moment. They are not merged, swapped, or absorbed. Collaboration without erasure is the whole point.

Nobody hosts the truth. The order of events is settled by Bitcoin, not by a website. Anyone following the same rules rebuilds the same world. If this site vanished tomorrow, the histories would not.

Why Bitcoin is here#

Not for money. For agreement about order.

The hard part of any shared creative record is not storing it. It is getting everyone to agree on what came first, without a referee. Bitcoin already does exactly that, for everyone, continuously.

So ChainBloom borrows it. Each path is held in place by one small Bitcoin output. Adding to a path spends that output and creates the next one. Bitcoin will not let the same output be spent twice, so a path can only be one chain. Once a block confirms your step, everybody's reading of the story places it at the same point.

What it costs you#

A Bitcoin network fee for each contribution, paid to miners, plus 1,000 satoshis held in each path output while the path is alive. Nothing else. See fees and confirmation for the real numbers.

Why now is an interesting time#

ChainBloom is early, and this page will not pretend otherwise. The protocol is written, tested against published test vectors, and the creation flow runs inside InScribe. The public index that lets anyone browse confirmed worlds is not switched on yet. See what is running for exactly where things stand.

What that means in practice: the conventions of this medium are not settled. Nobody has decided yet what a good world looks like, how long it should stay open, how a meeting should feel, or what an ending should mean. Those answers will come from the first worlds people actually make.
